Neutrogena: Power Foam Wash

I must say that this product does cleanse your face, but I cannot say that I am completely sold on it. However, I will try to give an in-depth review, so that you can determine if this product is right for you.

Product Claims:

• Controls production of acne (specifically toward acne break out due to stress)
• Makes skin clear of breakouts and stress free
• Clears oily skin
• Fights breakouts fast
• Reduces redness and irritation
• Treats acne before it emerges

Product Packaging:

I absolutely love the bottle for this product; the product does not come in a box, just the bottle itself. What I really like about the bottle is that it is made of a clear plastic, so I am able to see how much product there is left, and I can also see what the product looks like inside. This is important because you can clearly see at first use what the color looks like and later on if you see any changes in the color or texture of the product, you can throw it away. I also love that the bottle is thick and sturdy, and it comes in a pump, so hygienic. With the pump, the liquid comes out as foam (which is a good way to use less product, so it lasts longer). Additionally the top is made of a nice and sturdy plastic that keeps the product closed and secure at all times, and will not come off easily. Overall, I also feel that the bottle gives a very clean and fresh feeling to the product.

Product specifications:

Texture: The cleanser comes out as a nice soft thick foam, that is easily applied all over your face with a minimum amount (a lot goes a long way ladies ^_^).

Finnish: I must say that this product definitely leaves your face squeaky clean and without any oils. However, I found out that this product is not  good for me to use on my face every day; (for those of you with sensitive skin, LISTEN UP!) because my skin is very sensitive, this product causes my face to irritate. I think it has too harsh chemicals so a week after using this everyday, I narrowed down to using it twice a week..bohoo! (but I don't think I'll continue using this.I'm too scared.I don't want my skin to suffer from irritation.yep I think I'll just finish off this bottle.)

Price: Average $7.00- $10.00 (U.S. dollars). Around 500php. Of course this depends on where you buy this product; mine was bought from Walgreens store for about $8.00; however, I found out that you can buy this product on Amazon for pretty cheap price. (I know you're gonna ask.How the hell did this girl found a "Walgreen" store in Philippines?LOL. This was a gift from a blogger friend in US.hehe. Even before I was blogging, I found friends by following other blogs before until I decided to have my own.)

How do you apply it?

Simply push on the pump slowly until as much foam comes out as you would like to apply, and pat your hands together to get the foam evenly on both sides (do not rub, because then you are just cleaning your hands and not your face ladies XD). Next, take your hands and rub your hands (on your face) softly in circular motions to give your face a nice and gentle cleaning experience. Continue to wash in circular motions and then rinse with warm water (not hot or amazingly cold :0); and finally pat your face dry. I do not recommend that you wash your face with this product more than once, as it is pretty strong. You can use a cleansing brush or something. I'm actually on a hunt for that nice cleaning brush or those rubbery like foam whatever..dunno how to call that.But I'm gonna show it to you guys once I find it. :D

BEAUTY TIP: Always apply a face cream/moisturizer right after washing your face to lock in and secure the moisture from the water. This will ensure that your face stays nice, healthy, and hydrated. :D

My VERDICT:

Pros:

• Nice foamy consistency
• Lasts a long time
• Cleanses thoroughly
• Good price

Cons:

• Very strong product, and can dry out and irritate skin when used too often.
• Unfortunately, I can’t say that it really prevents acne from producing (then again it all depends on the person ^o^)

Repurchase: Unfortunately, this product did not win me over, so I do not believe I will repurchase this.

And sooo… overall:

AN OKAY PRODUCT

I just want to say once more, that this product did not really work for me because I have a sensitive skin type, so this may say something if your skin is sensitive as well. However, it all depends, because everyone is different in their own unique way; if you think this product will work for you, go right ahead and try it out. (it takes time to find the product that is right for you so don't be afraid to tryout).
